This Happened

You may wonder what. Well, something pretty big (if you ask me!). At age of 34, I got my first glasses. Yep. Totally layout-worthy.

Alex Gadji - This Happened

I made this one for my "Kid and pet free challenge" for the Paper Issues fall crop couple of weeks ago. I really hope that you've had a chance to play with us. It was so much fun!

I played with Amy Tangerine's Finders Keepers collection that you can find HERE in the Paper Issues shop. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am in love with it!!

Paper Issues: Let Me Espresso My Gratitude

Hi there! Feels like ages since the last time I was on an issue for Paper Issues! How is that possible?!? But you know what? The wait is over! Today is my turn! Ha! The issues going live today is called "Let Me Espresso My Gratitude" and the prize is $20 gift certificate to the Paper Issues shop. Here is my take on it:

Alex Gadji - Grateful for you

I have used Dear Lizzy Documentary collection from American Crafts, which you can find HERE in the PI shop.

I love these gold transparent cut outs, even though they are a hell to photograph :-)

Paper Issues: Sketchy Saturday

Hi there! It's time for another Sketchy Saturday over at Paper Issues. This month's sketch is based on a beautiful layout made by Becki Adams for Bella Blvd.

I have used Pink Paislee Cedar Lane for my take on the sketch. I can't seem to get enough of this collection.

Alex Gadji - Love You

When I first saw the sketch, I was ready to pull out my Silhouette Cameo and start cutting the chevron pattern. But then I saw this transparent tag with gold chevron on it in the ephemera pack and I changed my mind. Sometimes, less is more :-)

I hope you feel inspired to play along. Head over to the PI blog for more interpretations from the team. Have fun!

Paper Issues: (P)inspire me Monday

Ready for another (P)inspire Me Monday from Paper Issues? Here is what Leah got for us this time.

Lovely, isn't it? The colors inspired me to use Crate Paper's Wonder collection and the bottom middle photo inspired me to use this picture of my daughter. Don't ask me how though :-)

Alex Gadji - Be Brave

I love telling a story with my layouts. When I look back at old pages I've made, the story is always what I (and the rest of my family) appreciate the most. In this case, I have used this picture of my daughter climbing the wall to leave her a message. Instead of just writing down something like "Linnea climbing a big wall, Nov 2014" (which is pretty obvious), I used the photo as a metaphor for her braveness. I want her to always stay this brave. I want her to dare to follow her dreams and climb through the life just as easy as she climbs all these walls.

Now head over to the PI blog and check out how the rest of the DT interpreted Leah's piece of (p)inspiration. Hope you'll play along! Have fun!

Paper Issues: October Free Printables

Hi there! Have you seen the October FREE printable from Paper Issues?

I fell for the kraft one and made this layout about something I really enjoy doing during fall. I am not a big fan of fall otherwise, but there is something special about having a hot, delicious cup of tee when it is getting cold and dark outside.

Alex Gadji - Tea Time

I have used the gorgeous Pink Paislee Cedar Lane collection. I chose to add a big piece of vellum to give the page a softer look. I have attached the vellum with 3d dots.

When you wish to scrap...

...I obey.

Alex Gadji - When you wish to scrap

You can't say no to that, right? Especially not when someone covered with chicken pox asks you :-) I have made this layout for Design in Papers using Dear Lizzy Documentary collection from American Crafts.

I don't know what I am going to do when I run out of these Lily Bee mini alphas!! Cry, for sure... They are my all time favorites!

Paper Issues: Scrap Lift Sunday

Ready for another Scrap Lift Sunday challenge from Paper Issues? This time we are lifting a layout from my sweet friend Sherri Funk. Head over to Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group to see more and to play along for a chance to win a gift card to the PI store.

Here is my take on the challenge.

Alex Gadji - Oh so cute

I have mixed the new Pink Paislee Memorandum collection with the bits and pieces from PP Atlas and PP Citrus Bliss.

The big banner behind my photo is from the older PP Hey Kid collection. I believe there are still a few available HERE in the Paper Issues shop if you'd want some.

Ugh. For some reason, this one was really hard to photograph. I can't help but thinking that it looks so much better in real life. I hate it when that happens...

I hope to see you over in our Facebook group!
Have fun with this one!
