Paper Issues: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I am not sure if I am ready for Christmas yet! I don't really want this year to end... But I can't avoid it anymore. It really IS beginning to look a lot like Christmas! And that is also our new issue over at Paper Issues :-)

I made my layout using the Silent Night collection from October Afternoon. OA has always had my favorite Holiday lines. Silent Night is no exception.

I love looking at the pictures from the last Christmas. I can't believe how much Linnea has changed in just a year...

I first cut the grid out of white cardstock and then I cut little presents that fit over grid's squares.

You can find the cut file for these cute presents HERE. If you, like me, love the Silent Night line from October Afternoon, you can find it HERE in the Paper Issues shop. And you can get it with 20% discount if you use my code ALEX20 at checkout.

I hope you will join us and link up your Christmas projects to our "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" issue. The prize is a $20 GC in the Paper Issues store. I know you want it! ;-)

October Afternoon: Very Merry December

I confess, I have never made a December album before. Well... I confess, I have never made ANY mini album before. I have just always thought that I would get bored half way through LOL But, when Alison (our awesome DT coordinator) asked us if we were interested in working with the Very Merry December kit from October Afternoon, I just had to say YESSSS! It's way too cute to pass on! So... here I am now... a little nervous and very excited :-) I am done with my cover and if the rest is going to be as fun to make, I am going to have a blast throughout December!

This is how my cover turned out:

See that little elf down in the corner? I die of cuteness every time I see him!! He is adorable!!!

I am in LOVE with this kit! You can see more of it HERE. But be warned, you are going to neeeeed it! ;-)

Now, wish me luck with the rest. I can't wait to start filling it with more awesomeness!

Paper Issues + Creative Scrappers

Paper Issues is teaming up with Creative Scrappers for this cool sketch!

I had a lot of fun playing with the Wild & Free collection from Glitz while creating this layout.

I love the contrast between all the happy colors and the cool black and white touches in this collection. So fun and different.

I hope you will play along with us! Paper Issues is giving away a $30 GC! The shop is loaded with awesomeness and if you use my code ALEX20 at checkout, those $30 will last longer ;-) If you like the Glitz Wild & Free collection, you can find it HERE

When I feel down...

...I scrap!

Last week I got a phone call from my boss telling me that they are letting people go at work. No one is safe. I am not so worried about finding a new job (believe it or not, but I am pretty good at what I do LOL), but I just don't need this right now. I just want to be able to enjoy these last months of my maternity leave. I had to get the frustration out of my system, so I scrapped :-) And I scrapped just for me, just for fun. The Hey Kid collection from Pink Paislee could brighten the darkest day of my life. It simply makes me happy.

I looooove the ephemera pack! And the big banners! And the stickers! And... yeah... everything!

But most of all, I love this smile!

Yep, I definitely felt better when I was done with this layout. Definitely.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Are you ready for another colors challenge at Life.Paper.Scrapbook? This month we are playing with these gorgeous colors.

The colors scheme had Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste all over it! Here is my layout.

I've been longing to play with this line. The colors are amazing. And as with all AC collections, I adore all the coordinated embellishments ♥

If you love borders and the epoxy trend that is going on - well, then you will adore these epoxy borders. I know I do.

Paper Issues: Grateful for You

Oh, wow! I just realized that I didn't blog for 10 days! That's bad! I've been catching up on DT work, so at least I've been scrapping :-) Today I can finally share one of the layouts I've made last week. It's for the new "Grateful for You" issue over at Paper Issues.

I decided to make a layout about the things I am grateful for, or at least some of them. I used the super gorgeous Recorded collection from Webster's Pages. I cut the little frames from one of the papers and used them for my journaling.

Love the paper clips from Webster's Pages! The arrow and the heart are from the Recorded collection.

This cute crown is from the Postcards from Paris II line. I just had to have it ♥

So... what are YOU grateful for? Show us! Link up your projects to our current issue for your chance to win a $20 GC in the Paper Issues store. Use ALEX20 at checkout to save 20% and make those $20 last longer ;-)

Life.Paper.Scrapbook: November sketch challenge

Hi everyone! Are you ready for a new Life.Paper.Scrapbook. sketch? Here is what we have for you this month.

I made a layout using the All About Me collection from Prima Marketing. Ha! Me using Prima! That was a first! LOL I never even look at Prima because I always thought that it was all about vintage and flowers and other stuff that scares me, but I was wrong. The All About Me collection is gorgeous and right up my alley!

I stayed pretty true to the sketch. Another thing unusual for me :-)

The layout is about my daughter and her cousin, our very own Chip and Dail.

I stamped the pink hearts with my favorite stamp at the moment. It's just so cute. It comes in the See the World stamp set from the Travel Girl collection by October Afternoon.

I love the chipboard elements that come with this collection. I mean... how could I not? It's chipboard!

I hope you feel inspired to play along with us at Life.Paper.Scrapbook. I would love to see what you can come up with! Our sponsor this time is Scrapbook Generation which sells and distributes a line of 15 sketch books for scrapbooking and cardmaking. They are giving away a sketch ebook of the winner's choice.
