Paper Issues: Hey good looking, what's cooking?

Welcome to Paper Issues "Hey good looking, what's cooking?" blog hop!

You should have arrived here from Aimee. If this is your first stop, be sure to head over to Paper Issues and start at the beginning ;-)

Our awesome sponsor this time is Ruby Rock It. I have never played with their products before and I was over the moon when I received my box. We got to play with their beautiful Cook line and I instantly knew which photos I wanted to scrap. The photos of my sweet little daughter helping me to make cinnamon rolls have been waiting for this line to arrive! Here is a result I would like to share with you.

Isn't she a doll? And aren't these papers beyond gorgeous?

I wrote my journaling using my Cameo and a red sketch pen.

Love the contrast between wood veneers and shiny glittery hearts! Those hearts and matching alphas are lovely! I swooned when I saw them in my box :-)

Another thing that made me swoon was a miscellany pack containing so many cute and fun embellishments.

One last close-up, I promise! There are just so many cute little elements I would like to show you :-)

I had SO much fun making this layout! I hope it shows and I hope you like it :-) Thank you Ruby Rock It for sending this gorgeous collection to us!

I hope to see many projects linked up for this issue. If you don't have any Ruby Rock It products, the theme is "Hey good looking, what's cooking?". Link up anything that fits to increase your chances to win a Ruby Rock It goodie bag (the same as the DT got!).

Now, keep on hopping! Here is the hop order:

Thanks for hopping with us today!

Your love, so true

There is nothing that warms my heart more than seeing these two kiddos together. My heart skips a bit every time I see them cuddle and laugh.

I have never played with Elle's Studio before, and I must tell you... wow! You will definitely see me use it again! I loved it!

The collection I've used is called Saltwater. That cute little frame is from the collection called Cameron. I got them both from Paper Issues. There is not much left in the Etsy shop, but that is just because some exciting things are going on. You will soon be able to purchase your own Elle's Studio goodies again ;-) The cute flair from The Paper Bakery was perfect here!

Love the cork chevron from Studio Calico!

Studio Calico burnished circle wood veneer and a wooden heart from Freckled Fawn layered together. Enamel dots from My Mind's Eye and a word "true" by Heidi Swapp. Some pink, neon washi tape and I was aaaall happy! Everything but Jillibean alpha stickers I got from Paper Issues. I've told you, it's the best shop ever! :-)

I cut the "arrows" from a Saltwater vellum sheet. Love, love, love vellum! Sigh... don't you love these colors? I know I do!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Adrian @ 1 month

Time flies. He will soon be 6 months old. Half a year! It was about time to scrap his 1 month photo :-)

I have used the Pinwheel collection from Lily Bee. It's so cute!

Grey wise words from Jillibean Soup and white enamel dots from My Mind's Eye. I cut the "pinwheels" from one of the papers. They were begging to be cut.

I got these cute chevron wood veneers from my dear friend Danielle. They can add that perfect little touch to any layout.

This flair is from the Paper Bakery Shop. The colors were perfect for the Pinwheel collection.

I will never understand why Lily Bee is so hard to get here in Sweden. Apparently, not everyone is selling it in US either. But I know who does! Ha! Guess where I got my Pinwheel? Yep, from Paper Issues of course ;-)

Off to cuddle with this cute little boy now! Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Issues: Let's get Persnickety!

We have a new issue for you on the Paper Issues' blog! It's called "Let's get Persnickety!" and it is sponsored by Persnickety Prints. Go and check it out. Persnickety Prints is giving away a $25 gift certificate to one lucky winner. It could be you!

The issue is all about Instagram photos and fussy cutting. I love them both! This time, I wanted to create a card so I went for fussy cutting. I made this card using Lily Bee's June card sketch.

I made it for a friend and when my daughter saw it she said: "You must like your friend very much". I guess that means that she likes my card :-) And yes, she is right... I do like my friend very much!

I have used the Sweet Shoppe collection from Lily Bee. I've been longing to play with it! I cut the sun rays from a paper with mini chevron pattern. I thought of rays the second I saw it!

I also cut out strawberries from one of the papers. They are so cute! And they got even cuter carried by these little wood veneer birds!

Believe it or not, but I can't sew! I have no idea how to handle a sewing machine.. It kind of scares me! But I do love to see stitching on other people's projects. So I decided to cheat and use my Cameo and my Silhouette sketch pens to draw stitches ;-) I like how it turned out.

So, what are you waiting for? I am sure you have something that fits the team that you can share with us! Jump over to Paper Issues and link it up! I can't wait to see it!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Sweetest Laughter

If you are here for the October Afternoon Travel Girl blog hop, CLICK HERE.

I've been dying to play with The Pier collection from Crate Paper!!! I got tons of it from Paper Issues and yesterday I finally got a chance to cut the gorgeousness. I love, love, love it!

Love these photos of Adrian! You can almost hear him laugh... He has the sweetest laughter in the whole, wide world!

I was amazed when I opened the Pier ephemera pack. There are so many cute elements in it, making scrapbooking fast and easy.

The sliding frames from this collection are so fun to work with! I am glad there are plenty of them in the package, cause they can be used in so many different ways. Love!

At the same time I bought this collection, I also got these cute little wooden flags from Basic Grey. They are simply adorable! Yep... after making this layout, I felt high of all the gorgeousness! LOL

You can also get your The Pier from Paper Issues. All the embellishment went way too fast, but there is more coming in soon. Keep an eye on the shop and use my code ALEX20 to get 20% off it all ;-)

October Afternoon Travel Girl Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Afternoon Travel Girl blog hop!

You should have arrived here from Vivian. If you didn't, jump over to the October Afternoon blog and start from the beginning.

We are having this blog hop to share our love for October Afternoon's beautiful Travel Girl collection. This collection is amazing! Colors are beyond lovely and all the little elements make it so fun to play with! It is perfect for all summer vacations we have in front of us, but it works just as well for everyday scrapping. Just check out this layout I made about something as ordinary as coffee :-)

I hope that you are having fun hopping and that you feel inspired! I have made this cute little card for you:

I cut this car with my Cameo and assembled it using papers Mix Tape, Postcard and Camera Bag. Cute little brads just had to be car's spotlights and the registration plate is made using a stamp from the See The World pack. When the car was finished, I attached it to a piece of gorgeous Passport paper using 3d-dots.

I cut the clouds and made them look like smoke behind the car. Before cutting them, I sketched them using Silhouette sketch pens. Phrase "Bon Voyage!" is written using Jeana Sketch font. And what would a card be without some cute OA stickers? :-)

If you like the Designer Brads I have used on my card (and who doesn't???), leave a comment to this post by Tuesday, June 18th. I will draw one lucky person who will get a pack of brads. All the winners from this blog hop will be announced on Wednesday, June 19th.

After you have left comment here, be sure to continue hopping. There are prizes to win at every stop along the way! Your next stop from here is my sweet friend Danni. Jump over to her and be ready to get inspired!

Magnetic Book Mark

I love magnetic book marks! What a brilliant little invention! We had one that my husband got from his old job lying around here at home, and I wanted to make it a little more girly for my daughter. This is how it turned out:

I have used Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection from American Crafts. Love that little chipboard horse! Here you can see the magnet inside.

And this is how the book mark looks attached to a page. We are reading a book about Pippi Longstocking right now :-)

This is how the book mark looked like before it got pimped.

My husband prefers the before-version, but he is alone :-) Linnea was so excited and happy when she saw what I made for her. That's what matter the most.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Miss Sunshine

It's time to show another layout I've made as a guest for Pyssloteket. My little Miss Sunshine.

This is a two years old picture of Linnea, but I remembered that dress of her when I saw these papers from KaiserCraft. The picture was a perfect match! No, I never scrap chronologically... :-)

Love those word arrows! I have mixed the arrows from couple of different sets. You can get them in the Silhouette store

At first, I was worried about these papers... Wasn't sure if I knew how to do them justice. But I kind of like how this layout turned out. I guess I've just surprised myself ;-)

Thanks for stopping by today!

I made a clock!

I wanted to make something different; not a layout and not a card. It is a new and scary world for me! We don't have a single wall clock downstairs, so I decided to make one. This is how it turned out.

I have made the front of the clock using some American Crafts goodies. I loved how the sheet with the die cut pennants looked, so I used the whole sheet as it was. The banner "I honestly ♥ every second" was the piece that inspired me from the beginning. It felt perfect here.

A rub-on from Amy Tangerine felt great together with sketched and cut numbers.

I adhered the decorated front to a canvas. You could make your own frame, but I was lazy and I already had a canvas at home. It was perfect because of it hollow back, leaving the room for the actual clock mechanism.

I realize now that I should have taken a picture of the back too :-) But it's really easy. I have used a tiny clock mechanism from a hobby store.

This is how the clock looks hanging on the wall. Not sure if you can see it, but the colors go really nice together with the wallpaper in my hallway ;-)

I hope you feel inspired to make your own clock ;-)
Thanks for peeking in today!

Be Awesome Today

I must admit, I am really starting to enjoy making cards! Usually, I only create cards when I need them; for birthdays and other occasions worth celebrating. But this one I created just because and I kinda love it :-)

I guess you recognize the collection. You've been seeing it a lot lately on my blog. Yep, it's Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm... again! This is going to be one of those collections that I use down to the tiniest little sticker, still wanting more. It is THAT pretty!

Thanks for stopping by! And don't forget to be awesome today! ;-)

Dream Sweet Dreams

This is one of my favorite pictures of Adrian. I took it when he was a little more than a month old. I've been waiting for the right papers to scrap it, but then I realized that I already had the perfect collection: Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic from American Crafts.

Isn't he adorable? I could watch him sleep for hours! So sweet; so peaceful; so innocent.

I cut the title with my Cameo. The font I've used is free and it is called Before the Rain

That cute washi tape with aqua hearts is from the Glitz Love You Madly collection.

I don't know what more to say about this layout. I wanted to keep it sweet but pretty simple, because I didn't want to draw attention away from the picture. I love it so much. My heart skips a bit every time I look at it...

Thanks for taking your time to stop by!
