Paper Issues: Anything Goes

Ok, the current issue over at Paper Issue is a little special. We are going a little easy on you because you can link up pretty much any project you'd like. That's right. The issue is called Anything Goes. Our awesome sponsor this time is Whisker Graphics and they are giving a selection of their products to one lucky winner.

I am linking up a few of my favorite projects. Like this one:

Alex Gadji - Rain, rain go away

I don't think I've blogged this one before, so here are a couple of close-ups.

I have used the Hello Sunshine collection from Pink Paislee.

I love this photo of my kids, watching the rain. This collection felt perfect here...

My Monkey

No, I don't have a cute, little pat from the jungle. By "my monkey", I mean my daughter. Sometimes, I don't even dare to watch her climb! She is fierce! (and she did not get that from me...)

Alex Gadji - My monkey

I have used the South of Market collection from Studio Calico.

I punched out the circles from one of the patterned papers and placed them a little random over a simple, white cardstock. I also used the "negative strips" that were left over.

Acrylic, clear stars!!! Sigh!! So lovely!!

I placed small wooden sequins on top of the clear stars so I could hide 3d-dots under them.

Yep, that's my girl, my little monkey!

Shine Today

Hi there! Here comes a quick post about two cute, little cousins.

Alex Gadji - Shine Today

I have used the Hello Today collection from Heidi Swapp. Love those acrylic hearts!

Love anything acrylic, actually... Don't you? :-)

Acrylic and glitter... Sigh... Heidi Swapp knows how to make a girl happy!

This is Us

The photos of all the four of us are so rare that they definitely deserve a layout.

Alex Gadji - This is us 2014

This one was taken a couple of months ago, on our vacation in beautiful Norway. I wish the kids were standing straight, smiling to the camera... but, no. That wouldn't be my kids :-) Our family portraits don't get better than this... lol

I have used the Hello Today collection by Heidi Swapp.

I suppose that these hearts were made to spray with Color Shine, but I love them just as they are: white, elegant, simple.

Every time I use these clear, plastic alphabets, I wish I knew how to use my sewing machine. They look so nice when sewed down. Glossy accent works fine though...

Cute x 2

Okay... I was browsing my own blog today when I realized that I have quite a few layouts that I never showed in here! Not acceptable. I better start scheduling blog post...

Here is one of them. My husband and our son, cute x 2.

Alex Gadji - Cutex2

Seriously, my heart melts a little every time I see this photo of them ♥

Alex Gadji - Cute x 2 closeup2

I love this photo so much that I had to make it huge. This is pretty much the largest my printer can do :-)

Alex Gadji - Cute x 2 closeup3

I have used the bright and happy Hello Sunshine collection from Pink Paislee.

This layout came together really fast. I didn't do much with it. I just layered some cute embellishment along the sides of the big photo. Yet, it is one of my favorite layouts ever ♥

Daddy's Girl

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! :-)

The second I took this pictures of my husband and our daughter, I started to long to scrap them. I love seeing them together ♥

Alex Gadji - Daddy's girl

I have used American Crafts Dear Lizzy Daydreamer papers together with Crate Paper Oh Darling embellishment. Love how nicely they go together.

I love mixing different alphabets for my titles. And if you miss an apostrophe, you can always cut off a little piece of an "I"...

Alex Gadji - Daddy's girl closeup3

Don't you just wanna take off these hearts and eat them? I think they look like candy! Yum!

Alex Gadji - Daddy's girl closeup2

I've always had hard time using these big, layered "flowers", but I think I finally managed to find a place for one. I actually never felt an urge to remove it! (something I usually always feel and eventually do... remove it, that is.)

Happy times. Happiness. That's how I felt when I snapped these photos and that's  how I feel now, watching them...

Thanks so much for stopping by!

October Afternoon: First Day at School

Hi everyone! Last week I had a challenge up on the October Afternoon blog. I called it "Document the feeling". I tend to document a happening or something my kids have said or done or just the way they are right now. But for this layout, the one about Linnea's first day at school, instead of writing down how the day was, I decided to write down my own feelings. Watching her sit there, all big and proud, wasn't easy!

Alex Gadji - 1st day at school

I have used the lovely Daily Flash Milk Money collection. It was perfect here!

I am linking up this layout to the current issue over at Paper Issues, "Tell Me Dies, Tell Me Sweet Little Dies" sponsored by Jillibean Soup. Since I am focusing on journaling this time, the layout is a perfect match for the issue! There are many more ways to interpret the theme. Check them out on the PI blog and start linking up for your chance to win some Jillibean Soup goodies!
