October Afternoon: Milk Money

Hi guys! Hope you are having a great week! I am still trying to get back into working routines. One thing is sure: I miss our after lunch naps! :-)

Today, I wanted to share a layout I made for October Afternoon a couple of weeks ago. I had some fun playing with the awesome (I mean like really, reeeeeally awesome!!!) Milk Money collection.

I love these pictures of my kids at the library. It was Adrian's first visit. Linnea was an excellent guide :-)

I used two sheets of the same "Spelling" paper. I cut out the boy, the girl and the books from one of them and layered on top of the other using pop dots.

Love the colors of this line!

And how cute is that Milk Money tin pin? I know, too cute!

I made this layout together with a sketch full of squares. You can check it out over at the OA blog.

You can get your own Milk Money collection from Paper Issues and you can get it HERE. Use my code ALEX20 at checkout to get 20% off your order. Those 20% can cover the shipping to Europe, which is pretty nice ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!

A Bride to Be

Hi everyone! I am a little nervous today. I have no idea how people are going to react when they see the layout I am about to share. I've wanted to scrap this picture of me getting ready for our wedding for so long now. I can still remember how I felt sitting there. There was something almost magical about that moment. For every piece of cloth I put on, I was a little closer to becoming his wife. I really hope that no one will find this picture tacky or something. I personally think it is beautiful ♥

Seriously, what is wrong with blogger?? Why is it making all my photos look darker? It drives me crazy!! Anyhow, I used the beautiful Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party collection from American Crafts. I still have SO much left from when I was a guest designer for AC, and I am still loving it :-)

The wooden tag is by Prima, from their All about Me collection. I used the last two fabric bows on this layout. Boooohoooo! They are adorable!

Adding dimension to this layout was super easy! There are so many fun and adorable dimensional elements in this collection! Like these cute little flowers...

"I would do it all over again." Yes, I would! I used one of the fabric photo corners to decorate the wooden arrow,

I hope you like this layout as much as I do! I am so glad I finally got to scrap these memories.

Edit: I am linking up this layout for the "Fill 'er up" issue over at Paper Issues. All the labels filled with journaling feel very suitable :-)

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Paper Issues: You Are Just My Type

Hi guys! Ready for a new issue from Paper Issues? The theme is called "You Are Just My Type" and the prize is a $20 GC to the store. You know that we love to see different interpretations of the theme, so show us yours! Link up one of your projects for a chance to win!

Here is my layout.

I have used the Cut & Paste line by Amy Tangerine for American Crafts. What's unusual for me is that I have used only one (!!!) patterned paper. The rest is all bits and pieces and embellishments. I don't know what happened, but I kinda like the result :-)

Here are some close-ups.

Love the fabric photo corners! They add such a nice texture to the layout.

My journaling is a quote by Linnea: "Mom, he is absolutely wonderful! I am in love with him!"

A little girl with a big heart... symbolic, huh? :-) The heart is a sugar dot by Prima

I hope you feel inspired to join us and link up something for our "Type" theme. Who doesn't want $20 extra to shop all the new awesomeness showed at CHA for?! And don't forget to use my code ALEX20 at checkout to get 20% off your entire order ;-)

The Favorite Rock

I know it's shocking, but I am here today again! Yay! LOL I am making a quick stop to share a layout I made for the Creative Scrappers sketch #259.

I have used the gorgeous Urban Autumn collection designed by my OA friend Amy Heller for Lily Bee Design. I adore the colors!

Love all the 3x4 cards that come with this collection. They felt perfect for this sketch.

I cut out the frame from one of the cards and used pop dots to frame my photo. Love this picture of Linnea. That's her favorite rock. Every single day, on her way to and from kindergarten, she has to at least climb up and jump down from it :-)

Love the skinny arrows! Part of me just want to hoard them, but they are way too pretty for that :-)

This is the sketch I played with. It's a fun one for sure!

Thanks for peeking in!

October Afternoon: Big photo and a sneak

Hi guys! I am sorry for being a bad blogger. I have started to work again and it had been crazy. They are letting people go and things like that can really drain your energy.

I thought I could share a layout I made for October Afternoon. It was for Mandy Koeppen's "Enlarged Photos" challenge.

I have used the beautiful Daily Flash Eggnog collection.

Love all the bits and pieces!

The picture is one of the Christmas photos I took of my kids. I was more than happy to enlarge it ♥

Be sure to stop by the October Afternoon blog tomorrow! I have a little sketch for you and super talented Amy Heller is joining me with her fabulous take! Here is a little sneak of my layout.

Hope to see you there!

My Happy

So... I didn't make the Pink Paislee team. First, I cried. Then, I cried some more. And then... I felt like a fool. Here and now, I promise never to cry again over a call. Life goes on.

Today, I would like to share this layout I made using the We R Family collection by Lily Bee. I've been dying to play with it.

I am so happy that Lily Bee has added wood veneers, badges, enamel hearts and dots and stamps to their collections. That made me swoon!

I cut the we are family strips and the chevron from 6x6 papers- Love the tiny patterns ♥

The Color Shine mist from Heidi Swapp in Coral was a perfect match here.

You can get your own We R Family collection in the Paper Issue shop. Use my code ALEX20 to get 20% off your entire order.

Edit: I am linking up this layout to the "Fill 'er Up" issue over at Paper Issues. These two kiddos fulfills me, make me happy.

Get a Swag Bag!

Hi everyone! Just stopping by to share some exciting news. Let me introduce you to the Paper Issues Swag Bags!!! A new monthly embellishment kit that you can subscribe to. The kits will cost only $10 and contain a little bit of this and a little bit of that. For instance, something like this could be yours this month:

In case you are not subscribing to Paper Issues' news letter (you should really do something about that, btw!), this is what Cassie says about the Swag Bags:

"You love Ipsy Bags, Birch Boxes, Loot Crates and all of those amazing monthly samplers sent straight to your door.  Why not a scrappy sampler?  That's the idea behind our new Swag Bags.  A little bit of this and a little bit of that.  Try it before you commit to a whole pack or just use the bits and wait for next month's offerings. Our very first Swag Bags will be for sale Friday, January 3 at Noon CST.  There are a limited number of subscriptions available.  If you are one of the lucky few to get our first kit, you will be locked in.

Your goodies will be delivered to your door every month!  As demand increases, so will the number of available subscriptions each month.  Each bag will have a set cost of $10.  No surprises or price fluctuations. We know you like to combine shipping so instead of having an automatic billing every month, you will have your own listing so you can control when you pay and add on if you'd like.  We will send out emails for payment 2 weeks prior to the 1st of the month.  Bags will ship out on or about the 5th of the month.

Do you have questions?  We have answers!  Email us at paperissues@gmail.com or use the Contact Us form on the website."

You can also read more about the subscription HERE in the shop. Exciting, don't you think?
