Little man's first haircut

And just like that, he looked at least a year older! I cried over his baby curls.

Alex-Gadji-1st-haircut

While waiting for all the new releases to reach my desk, I pulled out the beautiful Boys Rule collection by Crate Paper and had some serious fun!

The lovely thickers are Crate Paper Open Road.

He felt so big, sitting there in the hairdresser's chair. He didn't complain once!

I need to do this more often; play with older collections that is. It was refreshing! :-)

October Afternoon: Love is...

...baking scones at 7 AM. Especially when you have a helper this cute :-)

Alex Gadji - Love is

I have used OA's Saturday Mornings collection for this layout. I also shared a sketch behind it, which you can find HERE at the OA blog.

When I saw the free font Budmo, I knew I had to use it. The holes are simply made to back with pretty patterned papers! :-)

I love all the Daily Flash alphas that OA has! They are so fun to mix and match! One of the many OA products I can't get enough of :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by, dear friends!

Hi there! Today I have a pretty awesome free cut file to share with you all! You can download it HERE over at Paper Issues.

Here is a layout I made with the file and some pretty lovely Hall Pass from Webster's Pages.

Alex Gadji - Today a reader

The second I saw this collection I knew I had to scrap the pictures of my little bookworm.

Saying Bye...

...is hard when you love someone, even if only for a couple of hours.

I snapped this picture of my little ones one morning back in 2013. I was on maternity leave with Adrian and we used to take Linnea to preschool every morning. This is them, saying goodbye just outside her school. I think I died a little of cuteness that morning.

Alex Gadji - Saying Bye

I made this one for Swedish DESIGN in PAPERS using the lovely Bella Rouge collection from Pink Paislee.

I also used the free January cut file from Paper Issues. You can grab one HERE.

Hip Kit February 2015: You & Me

Hi there! I am stopping by to share another layout I created with the lovely Hip February 2015 Kit. I finally scrapped one of my favorite photos of me and the little man. I can't believe how tiny he was here.

Alex Gadji - You & Me

I love the bold, happy colors in this kit! That paper with all the words (Inked, from the Jubilee collection by My Mind's Eye) is so beautiful I could frame it!

Alex Gadji - You & Me closeup1

Since the papers are so bold, I didn't use that many embellishments this time...

Alex Gadji - You & Me closeup2

I left a lot of white around my photo when I printed it to make it pop out from all the colors around it.

I hope you like this one. It makes me smile :-)

Paper Issues: It's Hip to be Square

Hi there! Ready for a new issue from Paper Issues? Can I hear you say "YAAAAAY"?! ;-)

Ok, the issue is called It's Hip to be Square and it is sponsored by the awesome A Flair for Buttons. I looooved playing with the set I received from them! Here is the layout.

Alex Gadji - Darling

I think I've used all but one of the flair I received on this single layout!

Alex Gadji - Darling closeup3

When I saw the colors of the flair, I instantly thought of the Daily Flash All Boy collection from October Afternoon. A perfect match!

Alex Gadji - Darling closeup2

I have used THIS cut file from the Silhouette store for my background. I backed the squares with bits and pieces from the All Boy collection and decorated them with the A Flair for Buttons goodies.

Alex Gadji - Darling closeup1

Love this photo of the little man. You can almost here him laugh, and believe me, his laughter is contagious ♥

Hip Kit February 2015: Adorable Leah

Hi all! I am having so much fun with my February 2015 kits from Hip Kit Club!! Today I wanted to share my very first layout as a DT. Meet my niece: adorable Leah.

Alex Gadji - Adorable Leah

The French Doors paper from the Love Notes collection by WRMK is one of my favorites from the kit! I used my knife to cut out some of the windows and then backed it with a lovely tulip paper from the 6x6 paper pad from the same collection. Love how it turned out!

Alex Gadji - Adorable Leah closeup2

I have used the Main kit and the Embellishment kit. I didn't want to steal too much focus from the picture, so I used most of the embellishments in a single cluster building up my title.

Alex Gadji - Adorable Leah closeup1

Isn't she a doll? My beautiful niece ♥

Can't wait to share more layouts made with the gorgeous February Hip Kit

Paper Issues: The Perfect Pairing

Hi all! How about a chance to win this cute prize pack from Epiphany Crafts?

Epiphany Crafts is sponsoring the current issue over at Paper Issues, called The Perfect Pairing. As usual, there are a lot of different ways to interpret an issue, so be sure to check out the PI blog for project examples. For me, there is a no pair more perfect than these two together ♥

Alex Gadji - Cute together

When I saw them sitting like this (no, nothing in this picture is arranged), I just had to sneak up on them and snap a picture.

Alex Gadji - Cute together closeup3

For this layout I have mainly used the Beautiful Chic collection by Webster's Pages, but I also added some bits and pieces from Heidi Swapp and Crate Paper. You can read more about the products I used HERE on the PI blog.

One last close-up of the vellum frames I cut out from a 12x12 Beautiful Chic vellum sheet.
