Paper Issues: You Knock My Fox Off

So, who's ready for the October issue from Paper Issues? It's time for this month's round 2 and I am joining in. The issue is called "You Knock My Fox Off" and here are a few ideas to get you started (use one or use them all). Feel free to use any product you'd like. Projects can be new or old and you're welcome to share as many as you'd like.

  • Use woodland animal embellishments.
  • Create something about the people you love.
  • Have an element hang off the side of your project.
  • Use the Paper Issues fox card.
  • Scrap pictures about fall, Halloween, and doors.
Here is my layout, using the lovely Hello Fall collection from Simple Stories.

I also used the cut file I designed for Paper Issues. You can grab it for FREE in the Papers Issues store.

Here are a couple of close-up shots, just because the details are fun :-)

I hope you feel inspired to play along with us! And as usual, you can grab the collection I used in the Paper Issues store. Use ALEX at checkout to get 20% off your order.

Paper Issues: October Sketchy Saturday

Hi everyone! It is time for another Sketchy Saturday over at Paper Issues blog. Here is this month's inspiring sketch that I just had to play with.

And here is my take on it. I decided to flip a sketch and use one bigger photo instead of two small ones.

Once again, I played with the awesome Cute Girl collection from Crate Paper, which you can find HERE in the Paper Issues shop. If you want to grab it, use the code ALEX at checkout to get 20% off.

I live the bright yellow with touches of black <3

This is the look you get when you ask her to look into the camera :D Silly kid...

I hope that you feel inspired by the sketch and that you want to play along. If you do, be sure to stop by Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} FB group and share your interpretation with us! We love to see your work!

"Baking"

So, this my kids' definition of "baking" :D No wonder they are always more than happy to help me.

I have used the lovely Cute Girl collection from Crate Paper.

Since paper patterns are very bold and colorful, I kept the rest of the design pretty simple. I used black and white heart stickers on the right side of the page, to balance the strong black and white pattern on the left.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! ♥

Paper Issues - Products Spotlight Amy

Hi all! Today we are spotlighting the amazing Oh Happy Life collection by Amy Tangerine over on the Paper Issues blog. As you probably already know, I am a huge Amy T fan. I love everything she has ever created. This collection is no exception.

I cut the sunburst out from one of the papers and used it on top of this beautiful, colorful one. Half way through the cutting, I asked my self if I've lost my mind (it took me some time...), but the result was worth it.

I used the transparent arrow stickers to draw attention towards the photo.

If you have played with this collection, be sure to stop by our Facebook {Friends & Fans} Page and share your work with us. We would love to see it! And if you still didn't get this beautiful, colorful eye-candy, grab it from the PI Shop! Use ALEX at checkout to get 20% off.

Paper Issues - Roll the Dice

Today we are introducing a brand new challenge over at Paper Issues blog: Roll the Dice, hosted by my super talented friend Danielle de Konink. This challenge is mainly about encouraging people to use more pictures on a layout than just one. The amount of pics is decided by a dice. To make it a little more interesting we add a 2nd dice for any other scrapbook item, which will vary each month. This month, the 2nd dice is deciding the number of patterned papers you should use. Danielle throw 2 + 5 this time (check out the video on the blog), meaning: we should all use 2 pictures and 5 patterned papers on a layout. How fun is this!!!

Here is my layout, using the beautiful Go Now Go collection by Shimelle.

At first I thought that the challenge was to use at least 5 papers but then I got it clarified that it is exactly 5. No more, no less. It made it a little bit harder because I initially wanted to use more patterns for my background, but I kinda like how it turned out in the end anyway.

I love that little man likes to play with dolls too, and not only with cars and motorcycles. Or at least sometimes he does... :-)

These cute wooden buttons are my favorites from this collections! Totally adorable! <3

I hope that you will join us and play along with this fun, new challenge! And if you want to get your own Go Now Go collection, check out the Paper Issues shop. Don't forget to use ALEX at checkout to get 20% off your entire order.

Boys will be Boys

Hi there! I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend!

I am stopping by today to share another Crate Paper Cool Kid layout.

This must be one of my personal favorites right now.

I folded a 6x6 paper to get more dimension under my photo and in the cluster on the other side of the layout. A simple technique that makes a really big difference on a page.

Thanks for peeking in!

Paper Issues - Take 5 Challenge

Hi there! There is a LOT of fun things going on over at Paper Issues. Can't remember the last time I've had this much fun scrapping! I guess it shows, because I am here again with yet another layout to share :-)

This one I made for the September "Take 5" challenge, hosted by talented Mary Ann Jenkins. We give you a list of items to choose from and all you have to do is pick 5 out of them and play along. Here is this month's list:

And here is my take:

Again, I played with Crate's Cool Kid. I cannot get enough!! I mean, there are dinosaurs!!

From the list, I chose blue, yellow, red, 2 patterned papers and labels.

I hope to see you play along! Have fun!
